The Husband Hunt

Let the hunt begin…

Lisa Madison wants a husband, and she has just the candidate in mind: Robert Langley. Trouble is, the infuriating man insists on seeing her as the impish girl she once was—even as every other gentleman in London has taken notice of her womanly…charms. When her beauty lands her in danger, it’s Robert who comes to the rescue…only to announce his affections are not of the romantic variety!

Robert saw enough sorrow in his parents’ union to know he wants nothing to do with marriage, which is exactly what he’ll be trapped into if he acts on his desire for the irksome siren. And then Lisa does what Robert least expects: gives up on him! As feigned indifference gives way, blistering passion burns at last. But just before the pair can give in to hard-won bliss, an enemy with unfinished business lurks threatening to destroy them both.

Review as on Goodreads by Sassy~Amy

I am purely rating this book as it fits in the series. NOT as a stand alone book.

This book was the best of the series. There was only 2 pages explaining the last 2 books instead of a 1/2 repeat like the second. I did not find myself skipping pages like I did in the other books.

Lisa is the youngest of the Madison sisters. She has been in love with her neighbor Robert her entire life. While in London a couple seasons ago, during her sisters troubles, she met Mrs. Mason, who kidnaps her & her maid in order to sell her to a man who wants to marry her. He is referred to as the Suitor. She helps the maid escape & has her go to Robert for help. Robert rescues her. He tells her brothers-in-law what happened & they come up with a plan to protect Lisa. In the meantime, Robert rebuffs Lisa, so she decides to go husband hunting & forget Robert. Robert doesn't like that idea.

It was a great action packed story with constant attempts to kidnap Lisa & Robert running to her rescue. It is so easy to figure out who is the suitor right away, even though it tries to steer you another way. BUT Lisa was fun...
